摘要
Ground-state properties have been studied for N=Z, N=Z+2, and N=Z+4 even-even nuclei for which both neutrons and protons fill the 2s, 1d major shell, using the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov theory. The mass quadrupole moments and moments of inertia relative to the intrinsic reference frame are calculated, and qualitative features of the intrinsic deformations are discussed. Comparison is made to the results obtained when pairing correlations are absent, i.e., the Hartree-Fock predictions. The Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculation yields the Hartree-Fock results for N=Z even-even nuclei. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
