Bimolecular radiationless transitions in crystalline tetracene

摘要
Bimolecular decay of an excited singlet exciton into two triplet excitons is suggested to be an important fluorescene channel in crystailine tetracene and its corresponding rate is estimated to be similar to 4 x 10(10) to 10(12) sec(-1). This process is tentatively proposed to account for the observed relative fluorescence efficiencies of anthracene, tetracene and pentacene.
