摘要
We have done an experiment on the optically pumped cesium beam frequency standard with sharp angle incidence probing laser beam, The Cs-2 cesium tube at NIM, China, was modified for this experiment. Both the pumping laser and the probing laser frequencies were only simply bias locked to the proper frequencies. A nice Ramsey resonance pattern with signal to noise ratio about 1000 in 1 Hz bandwidth was recorded. Comparing with an HP-5061 cesium beam frequency standard the Allan variance of stability for one hour is 4 X 10(-13).
