RAMAN-SCATTERING STUDY OF INCOMMENSURATE PHASE-TRANSITIONS IN LA2TI2O7

摘要
Raman spectra of LaTi2O7 have been measured around the phase transitions at 983 K and 1053 K. The asymmetric lines appeared at about 50 cm-1 in the temperature range from about 673 K to 1053 K. The results are explained by a coupled modes model. One mode becomes soften and broad toward 1053 K.
