摘要
A sensitive and quantitative assay of parthenolide and other sesquiterpene lactones containing an alpha-methylenebutyrolactone residue which are present in Feverfew, Tanacetum parthenium, has been developed. This is based on Michael additions of alkylthiols containing a large chromophore to the latter function. A particularly suitable derivatizing agent is 9-thiomethylanthracene. The adducts are analysed accurately and with great sensitivity using high performance liquid chromatograph coupled with ultraviolet detection.
