摘要：

The stretching of scars mars the final result of many surgical procedures. Some surgeons regard it as inevitable, regardless of surgical technique; others believe that their personal method of wound closure reduces it. To make some objective observations of the phenomenon, we have compared the effect on stretching of 4 techniques of wound closure and also studied the micro-architecture of stretched scars. © 1978.
