REGULATION OF DOPAMINE SYNTHESIS IN STRIATAL SYNAPTOSOMES DURING DEPOLARIZATION

摘要
Incubation of striatal synaptosomes under depolarizing conditions (veratridine or KCl) increased the release of dopamine (DA) and produced a small increase in DA synthesis. This was not accompanied by an activation of either soluble or membrane-bound tyrosine hydroxylase, but was associated with a large depletion of synaptosomal DA. Thus, depolarization may increase DA synthesis by reducing the inhibition of tyrosine hydroxylase by end-product. © 1979.
