摘要
In a previous communication1we reported evidence that thermolysis of 1, 1-dimethyl-l-silacyclobutane gives an unsaturated intermediate having a highly polarized double bond: [formula-omitted]. The nature of the evidence was in strong opposition to a diradical formulation for the species being trapped, when thermolysis shown below was used for generation. In this regard our evidence and conclusions were in harmony with the pioneering work of Gusclʹnikov and Flowers2aand with views expressed in a later review article.2b. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
