THEORY OF SIZE QUANTIZATION OF EXCITON IN QUASI-ZERO-DIMENSIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR STRUCTURES

摘要
A theory of size quantization of the exciton energy spectrum in a small semiconductor crystal is developed under condition where polarization interaction of electron and hole with the surface of a microcrystal plays an important role. From the comparison of the theory with experiments the effective mass of an exciton in a simple parabolic band microcrystal is determined.
