ON THE ACTIVATION-ENERGY OF CRYSTALLIZATION IN METALLIC GLASSES

摘要
A new equation is derived from Johnson-Mehl-Avrami equation to calculate the activation energy of crystallization for metallic glass. This new equation has successfully predicted the activation energy of crystallization for Pd//7//6Y//9Si//1//5 during nonisothermal annealing and indicated, as expected, that the maximum rate of crystallization in DSC increases by the same factor as the heating rate does.
