On the assignment of the carbon tetrafluoride photoelectron spectrum

摘要：

The photoelectron spectrum of carbon tetrafluoride is compared with X-ray emission spectra and with molecular orbital calculations. The ionization energies at 22.2 and 25.1 eV are related to the 2t(2) and 2a(1) orbitals, respectively. With this result all "molecular orbital" states of CF4+ are identified except the 3t(2) and 1t(1) states.
