CREATION OF LUMINESCENT SINGLET SELF-TRAPPED EXCITONS FROM HIGHLY EXCITED-STATES OF TRIPLET SELF-TRAPPED EXCITONS IN NACL

摘要
Measurements have been made of the singlet luminescence in NaCl induced by excitation with a light pulse from a tunable dye laser, incident on the specimen with a delay with respect to an electron pulse bombardment. It is shown that the quantum yield of the creation of the singlet luminescence from a highly excited state of the triplet self-trapped exciton is about 10-2 at 2.1 eV, and that the yield increases as the exciting photon energy increases from 2.1 eV to 3.0 eV. © 1979.
