摘要:
To test whether a simple model could provide reasonable quantitative estimates of chemical concentrations in a dynamic situation, Mackay's fugacity model was adapted to represent an agricultural field. The intention was to determine the extent of modification required to obtain reasonable agreement with experimental results, or indeed if such agreement could be achieved. The validity of the model was tested at Rosemaund Experimental Husbandry Farm in Herefordshire, where the chemical input and output could be monitored and meteorological and other parameters measured regularly. Results from monitoring concentrations of two pesticides at this site in recent years, and changes that have been made to the model in attempting to fit the observed behaviour are described.
