摘要
Plants showing natural adaptation to growth in mountainous conditions were collected from different elevations representing both forest and subrival belt ecosystems Mid-regions of leaves were prepared for electron microscopy where morphometric observations were recorded regarding the frequency of occurrence of chloroplasts and mitochondria, and their mean dimensions. The results showed that both organelles, especially mitochondria are more abundant in plants growing at the higher elevation © 1991 Annals of Botany Company.
