摘要
The Mossbauer effect in Fe-57 and Eu-151 have been used to study the behavior of ice containing equal concentrations of trapped Fe2+ and Eu3+ ions. The ice-phase transition which occurs with each ion separately does not take place in the mixed system. Instead, the recoil-free fractions of both ions exhibit a sharp decrease with temperature, indicative of a pseudo-melting point at -65 degrees C.
