THE PREDICTION OF GROWTH

The author contends that when conditions are constant, all biologic growth takes place under a single universal law; namely, that "the increases in the loglogs of the percentages of maturity from a given point of reference are directly proportional to the increases in time." Illustrations are given of the prediction of growth in terms of this law. The further point is made that when external forces operate to change conditions, the effect of such forces may be precisely measured by determining the rate of phange in the rate of growth produced by them.
