FLASH CALCULATIONS FOR GAS HYDRATES - A RIGOROUS APPROACH

摘要
The statistical mechanical model for the thermodynamic properties of gas hydrates has been rearranged. This enables the fugacities of all of the components of the hydrate phase, including water, to be calculated as functions of temperature, pressure and composition. The model has been interfaced to a series of phase equilibrium calculations, in particular the Michelsen flash algorithm. Results from flash calculations are presented here in comparison with experimental data for cyclopropane. This new implementation provides an extended range of calculations for hydrate phases, such as amounts of hydrate formed and structure stability based on a minimum Gibbs free energy criterion. © 1990.
