摘要
Fischer arylcarbene complexes of manganese bearing a Ti(IV) substituent, (MeCp)(CO)2MnC(Ar)-(OTiCp2Cl) (Ar = Ph, p-tolyl), undergo benzannulation reactions with 1-hexyne under mild photochemical conditions or in refluxing toluene to afford naphthoquinone products. The analogous manganese alkoxycarbene complexes are unreactive. Preliminary tests of the reaction mechanism are not consistent with the expected photolytic dissociation of CO ligand from manganese.
