摘要
Fetal and newborn human liver cells exhibit 2 classes of Ricinus communis lectin binding site in the early passages; these cells at the late passages and adult cells have only 1 class of binding site. Hyaluronidase treatment of both fetal and newborn old cells and adult cells results in recovery of the 2 classes of binding site and in release of higher amounts of hyaluronic acid. Increased hyaluronic acid might play an important role in age-related cell membrane changes.
