摘要
A procedure is presented for deriving a mathematical model for canal networks for irrigation, municipal and industrial uses. Such a model allows one to determine the hydraulic transient between two steady state situations, assuming a succession of steady flows and accounting for time delays due to the propagation of perturbations. This study is part of a current research project aimed at deriving a mathematical model of the water system for irrigation, for municipal and industrial use in Southern Sardinia. The model is intended to help when considering the possibility of automating and optimizing the system. The canal check gates considered are manually or motor-operated and/or may be self-levelling. The results of some hydraulic transients simulations relative to part of the network are given. © 1979.
