摘要：

The vitamin B12 concentration in serum is determined by a new procedure, using the competition for intrinsic factor with [57Co]cobalamin. The vitamin is liberated from its binding to serum protein by heating at pH 4.9 in the presence of cyanide. [57Co]B12 and intrinsic factor are added, and the solution is ultrafiltered through a dialysis membrane. The amount of B12 in the sample can be calculated from the radioactivity of the ultrafiltrate compared to a standard curve. The optimal conditions and the methodological errors of each step in the procedure are examined. © 1968.
