INVESTIGATION OF REACTION 3HE(D,P)4HE WITH A POLARIZED 3HE TARGET AND 52-MEV DEUTERONS

摘要
An optically pumped 3He target was used to measure the asymmetry of the protons of the reaction 3He(d, p)4He with deuterons of an energy of 52 MeV. The degree of target polarization was typically 0.1. The proton asymmetry distribution was investigated in the angular range from 30.5 to 74.2° c.m. The asymmetry reaches its maximum value of -0.38±0.11 at 56.5° and vanishes near 35 and 75°. Comparison is made with proton polarization data which correspond to nearly the same energy. © 1969.
