摘要：

Last year, one case of septicemia due to Bifidobacterium adolescentis was published in this review. We report now one case of septicemia due to B. longum. This proves the emergence of genus Bifidobacterium as opportunistic pathogen and to our knowledge represents the first proof of a B. longum pathogenicity. In these septicemia, an urinary portal of entry is assumed.
