摘要
Intercommunication between adjacent bronchopulmonary segments in the human lung has been shown by four techniques. 1. a) the movement of gas under a pressure gradient 2. b) the movement of gas under a diffusion gradient 3. c) the passage of spheres of known size 4. d) the preparation of a resin cast. The results suggest a free communication between neighbouring segments, principally at alveolar duct level, and there is evidence that some communications of a size about 50 microns exist at a more proximal level. © 1968.
