摘要：

A new instrument has been evaluated for performing constant-pressure tonography. The sensor probe, controlled by an electronic servo system, applanates the cornea with sufficient force to maintain a constant intraocular pressure. The rising applied force during the course of the measurement is recorded and used for computing the facility of aqueous outflow. The results of the study show that good statistical separation of glaucoma patients from normals is obtained, and that patients find the procedure to be comfortable. Improvements in the instrument are proposed to enhance its clinical acceptability. © 1979.
