In this second paper in the series we continue our investigations of the instanton and anti-instanton solutions of the O(3) sigma-model in two Euclidean dimensions (modified by the addition of an apropriate potential and Skyrme-like terms) treated as static solitons (skyrmions) and antiskyrmions of the same model in (2 + 1) dimensions. We study various scattering properties of a system consisting of skyrmions and antiskyrmions and also of a system consisting of a skyrmion and a pure wave. Most of the work is numerical and uses two formulations of the model; the well-known formulation in terms of a real vector field phi (with three components restricted to phi.phi = 1) and the formulation involving one complex field. We find that the skyrmions and antiskyrmions attract each other and annihilate into pure radiation. We also find some interesting results on the scattering of pure radiation waves with skyrmions.
