摘要
A series of adenosine and thymidine derivatives with one, two or three stearoyl chains has been synthesized. The behaviour of the nucleoside derivatives in monolayers depends strongly on the nature of the base and the degree of substitution with alkyl chains. Detection of these layers through UV spectroscopy can be performed with high sensitivity when the layers are deposited on quartz plates. Layers taken up from a subphase, which contains the complementary bases, show an enhancement in the UV-absorbance, suggesting the formation of a base-base complex.
