摘要
It is quantitatively demonstrated, that adiabatic polarization and depolarization of OH(-)-dipoles in KC1 can be used for paraelectric heating and cooling at low temperatures. A reversible temperature change was measured Which depends on T(-4) and E(2) in complete agreement with theory. A variation in the rise- and decay-time of the electric field shows that the dipole relaxation time is smaller than 10(-7) sec.
