摘要：

Polycythemia vera terminates in acute leukemia in 0 to 30% of cases, depending on the series cited (1). The nature of this leukemic transformation has not been well characterized but is generally considered to be a variant of acute myeloblastic leukemia. We present here the case of a patient with polycythemia vera who underwent a leukemic transformation. The leukemic blast cells from this patient possessed the morphologic and biochemical features usually associated with blast cells of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
