MOSSBAUER ANALYSIS OF FE2O3-MOO3 SUPPORTED ON SIO2 AND AL2O3

摘要
Mössbauer analysis has been carried out for Fe2O 3-MoO3 supported on SiO2 and Al 2O3 with different surface areas. It has been found that the supports are not inert towards the active species. Both Fe and Mo, either substituting the cations of the supports or interstitially locating, enter the silica and the alumina. In the case of alumina, Al2 (MoO 4)3 containing iron can also grow. However, these compounds form only at the support surface: supported Fe (III)-molybdate can grow only on this film. © 1979 American Institute of Physics.
