摘要
The various adsorption and kinetic effects observed in cesium salt solutions at the Hg-H2O interface are analyzed on the basis of electrostatic models which separate the diffusion-layer region with a reduced value of the dielectric constant that is inaccessible for some electrolyte ions. It is shown that the overall experimental data cannot be described adequately within the framework of these models, which indicates the existence of specific adsorption of Cs+ cations at the Hg-H2O interface.
