SHARP INTERFERENCE STRUCTURE IN THE ANGULAR-DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTIONS EJECTED FROM THE COLLISIONALLY EXCITED SYSTEM HE+-HE(2P21D)

摘要
We investigated the angular distribution of autoionization electrons from the process He+ + He He+ + He** at 2 keV in coincidence with the scattered ions. In the angular range where electrons ejected from the target and the charge-exchanged projectile have the same laboratory energy we observe a pronounced interference structure. This can be ascribed to an interference of amplitudes for electron emission from target and projectile, respectively. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
