(C7H4N4O4.C4H9NS)2, M(r) = 622.63, monoclinic, C2/c, a = 20.751 (3), b = 6.782 (1), c = 20.339 (3) angstrom, beta = 102.99 (1)degrees, V = 2789.3 (7) angstrom 3, Z = 4, D(m) = 1.48 (1), D(x) = 1.48 Mg m-3, lambda(Cu K-alpha) = 1.54178 angstrom, mu = 2.175 mm-1, F(000) = 1296, room temperature, final R = 0.040 for 1417 reflections. The molecular complex of 3,5-dinitroindazole and thiomorpholine lies on the 2 axis. The thiomorpholine molecule forms an H2N+ [GRAPHICS] ammonium cation as a result of the incorporation of a proton from the pyrrole N atom of the indazole moiety. The indazole system is approximately planar. The thiomorpholinium cation has a chair conformation; its least-squares plane makes a dihedral angle of 91.3 (1)degrees with the plane of the indazole system. Molecules in the complex are hydrogen bonded.
