摘要
In this note I intend to underline the computational, methodological and conceptual importance of delay activity experiments in cognitively performing animals. The argument consists of two parts. First, a delineation of the various dimensions affected by these experiments. Second, an outline, in the light of the first part, of several outstanding questions (or predictions) calling for future experimental and theoretical effort.
