A resonance theory of thermolecular recombination kinetics: H+H+M-H-2+M

摘要
A theory is presented for three-body recombination which identifies the reaction complex as a small set of orbiting resonances. Calculations of the thermolecular rate constant for H + H - M agree with experiment and also predict a low-temperature maximum which is attributed to the quasibound state v = 14. j = 5.
