10 GB/S 150-KM BIDIRECTIONAL REPEATERLESS OPTICAL-FIBER TRANSMISSION

摘要
A successful 10-Gb/s bidirectional transmission experiment is demonstrated at the 1550-nm wavelength through 150 km of dispersion-shifted fiber. Long-term bit error rate performance (BER < 10-(14)) is achieved in both transmission directions with a fully engineered system.
