MEASUREMENT OF HYDROGEN-BROADENED METHANE LINES IN THE NU(4) BAND AT 296-K AND 200-K

摘要
Hydrogen-broadening of a large number of methane lines in the nu4 band has been measured at room temperature and 200 K (determined from the rotational temperature). The measurements were obtained using the KPNO McMath FTS with spectral resolution of 0.005 cm-1 and a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 or more. Hydrogen pressures between 250 and 600 torr and methane pressures up to 2 torr were utilised. The spectra were analyzed using a parametrised least-squares fitting procedure.
