摘要
1. 1. Interactions between DNA and gibberellins were assessed by thermal denaturation profiles, optical rotatory dispersion (ORD) and circular dichroism (CD) spectra and density patterns in CsCl equilibrium gradients. 2. 2. Gibberellin A7 interacts with DNA from higher plants (pea, bean, cucumber, spinach), T-even phages and poly d(A-T). For interaction to occur, Mg2+ is obligatory. 3. 3. Gibberellin A7 does not interact with DNA from animals (salmon sperm, calf thymus, human blood cells), bacteria (Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis) λ and T7 phages and poly d(G,C). 4. 4. Gibberellin A3, which differs from gibberellin A7 by a single OH group, does not interact with any of the tested DNA. © 1969.
