摘要
The screen filtration pressure-method devised by Swank to detect aggregated platelets in blood has been applied to PVC-model solutions in order to evaluate its value with respect to the properties of samples of fluids and blood. Both viscosity of the solute as well as concentration and size of the suspended PVC-particles have been varied. The pressure curves as a function of time yielded a characteristic course consisting of three parts: the first one is determined by the viscosity of the solute only. The second part is caused by both the viscosity of the solute and the size and concentration of particles obstructing the screen. The partial re-opening of obstructed pores is manifested in the third part of the pressure-time-curve. © 1969 Springer-Verlag.
