X-RAY STRUCTURAL INVESTIGATION OF GLYOXIME DERIVATIVES .1. MOLECULAR AND CRYSTAL-STRUCTURE OF AMINOGLYOXIMES AND DIAMINOGLYOXIMES

摘要
We carried out an x-ray structural investigation of aminoglyoxime (AG) and diaminoglyoxime (DAG) (diffractometer, lambda-MoK-alpha, direct methods, 447 reflections, R = 0.025 (AG), and 796 reflections R = 0.031 (DAG). The AG crystals, C2H5N3O2, were orthorhombic, at 23-degrees-C parameters of the unit cell; a = 12.824(1) angstrom, b = 8.283(2) angstrom, c = 4.252(3) angstrom, space group P2(1)2(1)2(1). The DAG crystals, C2H6N4O2 were monoclinic, at 23-degrees-C parameters of the unit cell; a = 19.981(5) angstrom, b = 4.461(1) angstrom, c = 5.173(1) angstrom, beta = 92.80(2)-degrees, Z = 4, space group P2(1)/n. We established that the AG and DAG molecules have an anti form with an antiperpendicular structure for the hydroxyl groups. In both structures the molecules are associated by hydrogen bonds to form a three dimensional network.
