摘要
The rate of extraction of m-nitroaniline and m-toluidine from their aqueous solution to a W/O (water in oil) emulsion containing an aqueous HCl solution as the internal solution, and the concentration profile of the solute in the W/O emulsion phase were measured with an apparatus in which the W/O emulsion, held stationary in a cylindrical glass tube, was contacted with the aqueous feed solution at one end of the tube. Based on the observed time-course of the solute concentration in the emulsion, the effective diffusivity of the solute in the emulsion was estimated. A new model for the effective diffusivity of the solute in the emulsion was proposed by taking into account the facilitated diffusion in the internal aqueous phase. The effects of various experimental conditions on the permeation rate and the concentration profiles of the solutes in the W/O emulsion phase were quantitatively explained by the present model.
