摘要
1. 1. Hematological and plasma and blood volume variations associated with the thermoacclimatory process have been investigated in brook trout, Salvelinus fontinalis. 2. 2. Warm-adapted trout were characterized by larger numbers of somewhat smaller erythrocytes than cold-acclimated animals. Mean cellular hemoglobin was stable, but total oxygen content increased as a consequence of changes in plasma and blood volume. 3. 3. The data are discussed in terms of their bearing upon metabolic compensation at high temperature. © 1969.
