摘要
Four slip systems were always operating, two in each constituent or one in beta and three in alpha . The yield stress values were higher at 450 K than at room temperature and at 150 K. Lower work hardening rates, lower U. T. S. and higher ductilities were observed at 450 K. The yield drop phenomenon was also observed. The continuity of slip between the alpha - and beta -crystals at the interface was evident during deformation. The fracture surface revealed a smooth ripple pattern in the beta -phase and elongated shear dimples in the alpha -phase.
