FLOW VISUALIZATION OF 2-PHASE FLOWS USING PHOTOCHROMIC DYE ACTIVATION METHOD

摘要
A non-intrusive flow visualization technique based on light activation of photochromic dye material has been used to obtain velocity profiles in gas-liquid flows including annular, slug and stratified flows. The preliminary results revealed several important two-phase flow mechanisms that have not been clearly seen previously.
