NOREPINEPHRINE - TURNOVER IN RAT BRAINS AFTER GONADECTOMY

摘要：
The rate at which 3H-norepinephrine disappears from at brain increases after gonadectomy; the effect is observed 6 days after the operation and 24 hours after introduction of the labeled material; it is not reproduced by hypophysectomy. The content of endogenous brain norepinephrine does not decline after removal of the ovaries or testes; thus synthesis of the catecholamine is probably increased by these procedures.
