摘要
The procedure of investigating the domain structure of crystals by using a time‐of‐flight (TOF) diffractometer is discussed. As an example the ferro‐electric KD2PO4 (DKDP) is investigated with a TOF diffractometer. On the basis of the experimental data the cross‐sections of some spots of the crystal reciprocal lattice are constructed and geometrical characteristics of the domain structure are calculated. The results obtained are in agreement with the DKDP twinning model with a spontaneous shear angle Uxy = (31.6 ± 0.6)′ at T = 80 K proposed earlier. The possibility to apply the TOF method for studying of the dynamics of the domain structure rearrangement under the action of an external field is also discussed.
