摘要：

A new member of the genus Dysmorphococcus (Phacotaceae: Chlorophyta), D. africana, is described from a collection identified originally as Pedinopera. The new species is papillate with 2 – 4 pyrenoids, many contactile vacuoles and a domelike, equatorial stigma. The original collection was made by M. Pocock from the Zimbabwe region of South Africa. The species grows well on Woods Hole MBL (pH. 7.2) medium. © 1979, VEB Gustav Fischer Verlag Jena. All rights reserved.
