摘要
The interpretation of experimental data for the adsorption kinetics of surfactants at fluid interfaces can be performed in a quantitative way for all experiments with simple boundary conditions: stationary interfaces, continuously growing drops and bubbles, and laminar flowing films. For these cases a polynomial solution derived on the basis of a collocation method can be applied. Based on an example from the literature it is shown that there is no essential need to develop any empirical models of surfactant adsorption kinetics. Equilibrium adsorption data, as well as the proof of surface chemical purity of surfactants to be investigated, are emphasized as necessary prerequisites for dynamic interfacial studies. © 1990.
