摘要
The total neutron scattering cross section σtot of a tetrahedral molecule in its torsional ground state is calculated from the double differential cross-sections of the individual tunneling states. Detailed predictions are made concerning the dependence of σtot on the wavelength of the incoming neutrons and on temperature. Several experiments are suggested which may give information on tunnel splittings and on spin conversion times. © 1978.
