摘要
It has been established through in-situ and ex-situ observations of surface microtopographs of growing and etched {100} and {111} faces of KCl crystals that the well-known habit change from cubic to octahedral due to the presence of Pb ions in aqueous solution takes place through preferential precipitation of PbCl2 crystallites along 〈110〉 steps of growth layers on {100}, the appearance of {111} occurs by the pile up of the steps, subsequent spiral growth occurs on {111} faces. © 1990.
